LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — In the final game of the regular season, the University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell 3-1 to Georgia Gwinnett on the road. The Nighthawks put some fresh faces in the lineup in their final matchup before the Peach Belt Conference tournament, heading into the halftime break tied 1-1 before the Grizzlies added two goals in the second to take the victory.

Diego Milessi (GGC) opened up the scoring in the 34th minute, giving the Grizzlies the lead in the first matchup between the two programs. In the 44th minute, Will Bentley grabbed the equalizer, scoring his second goal of the season to lock the two sides into a tie at halftime.

After an aggressive pace in the first half by GGC, the Nighthawks managed to limit the opportunities, but the Grizzlies made the most of them, scoring twice, once in the 60th minute and another in the 84th minute to take the 3-1 victory.
