This Week In Nighthawk Athletics: February 26
DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia baseball team returns home for the first time since sweeping No. 13 Quincy in a three-game set back on Feb. 18. The Nighthawks will take on Columbus State Friday, Saturday and Sunday in their conference-opening series.
Also happening at home this week for the Nighthawks are home tennis matches for the men's and No. 11 women's team. Both teams are back at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek after earning their first ranked wins of the season on Saturday. The men's team took down No. 16 Auburn Montgomery while the women's squad rallied to beat No. 18 Auburn Montgomery. Each will face Lincoln Memorial on Monday.
Additionally, the No. 16 UNG men's basketball team headlines the events happening this week. After a 73-66 win on Saturday over Augusta, the Nighthawks moved into a three way tie for first place in the Peach Belt with Lander and USC Aiken. A 7:30 p.m. home matchup with the Pacers from USC Aiken on Wednesday has large PBC implications for the Nighthawk men's basketball team.
