AUGUSTA, Ga. — University of North Georgia cross country runner Claire Mills has been announced as the Runner of the Week by the Peach Belt Conference after a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional Preview at the UNG Cross Country Course in Gainesville, Ga.

Mills was near the front of the pack for most of the race, running alongside some of the best runners in NCAA Division II, looking to get a feel for the upcoming NCAA Southeast Regional.

Mills picked up the fourth-place finish just ahead of teammate Emily McBride, recording a time of 23:04 with an average mile time of 06:11 and leading the Nighthawks to a third-place finish. It was the second time the 2020 PBC Freshman of the Year has earned the award in her career.
