Mills Completes Appearance at NCAA DII National Championship

JOPLIN, Mo. — University of North Georgia women's cross country runner Claire Mills completed her time at the NCAA Division II National Championship hosted by Missouri Southern. Mills finished in 185th out of 260 runners, making the first individual appearance at the national championship race in program history.

Mills finished in 185th out of 260 runners, making the first individual appearance at the national championship race in program history.

Mills clocked a time of 22:22 with an average mile time of 6:00 finishing just behind Riley Vickery of host school Missouri Southern. 

Grand Valley State took home the team title after having two top ten finishers in the lineup. Adams State finished second with Colorado School of Mines rounding out the top three teams. Lindsay Cunningham of Winona State took home the individual title, finishing with a time of 19:30.1.
