- GREENWOOD, S.C. – The No. 23 University of North Georgia women's golf team finished in third at the Lander Lady Bearcat Invitational Tuesday afternoon. In the 22-team field, the Nighthawks' combined score of 921 left them seven shots out of fifth-place Lander. Wingate won the event with a 38-over-par combined score of 902. Following the Bulldogs in the top-five was Lee in second at 906, Limestone in third at 909 and Montevallo in fourth with an overall score of 911.

Four of the nation's top-20 teams competed in the event as the Nighthawks recorded a team overall score of 886, just six shots out of first place Wingate.

- This Week In Nighthawk Athletics: March 11DAHLONEGA – The biggest weekend of the season thus far takes place at Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center as the No. 20 University of North Georgia men's basketball team will host the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional tournament. Seven single-elimination games will take place between Saturday, Mar. 16 and Tuesday, Mar. 19 in Dahlonega. This is the first time in program history the Nighthawks have earned the top seed and hosted the Southeast Regional tournament.

Host No. 20 Limestone won the event with a combined team score of 875 as the Saints finished 11-over-par in the three round event held at Dunes West Golf Club.
