MORROW, Ga. — In the final game of the 2023-24 season, the University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell 3-0 to Lander in the Peach Belt Conference semifinals. Two first half goals were too much to overcome as the Bearcats earned a shutout to advance to the PBC Tournament title game.

A third and final goal in the 89th minute made it a 3-0 final as both teams battled to the finish with Lander putting on a defensive display throughout. A 27th minute goal by Jonah Miller (LU) kicked things off, scoring his third goal of the season.

In the 43rd minute, Julien Sagnol (LU) scored his second of the season, handing UNG a 2-0 halftime deficit. Lander was able to hold the Nighthawks to just one shot in the opening half, putting on one of their best defensive performances of the season.

As North Georgia looked to rally, a late 89th minute goal from Christian Hatley (LU) ended things, as the Nighthawks fell to 9-8-2. Despite the loss, the Nighthawks finished above .500 for the first time since 2018 and tied for the second most wins in PBC play in program history.
