Mills Named PBC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

DAHLONEGA -- University of North Georgia women's cross country graduate student Claire Mills has been named as the Peach Belt Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

DAHLONEGA -- University of North Georgia women's cross country graduate student Claire Mills has been named as the Peach Belt Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Mills helped UNG win the 12th Annual UNG XC Invitational Friday evening with an 18:14.2 time in the 5K event. She finished in first-place among the 77 participants. The win is both UNG's and Mills' first since October of 2022.

With the honor this week, Mills earns her third PBC Runner of the Week of her career. This also marks the 15th time in program history a Nighthawk has won the award. 

Mills and the rest of the team are now preparing to make a trek to Spartanburg, S.C. for the Converse Kickoff on Saturday, Sep. 21 at 9:45 a.m.
