DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia Nighthawk Athletics raised $103,033 in donations from over 500 donors in its 3rd Annual Day of Giving on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

The women's golf team led the way in most money raised with $20,735. The team of eight also secured the most donors with 145. A total of 515 donations came in from 23 different states and four different countries with an average gift of $200.

Each of North Georgia's 13 athletics programs and department support units will benefit from the funds raised through the Day of Giving campaign. Student-athletes and coaches spent the day promoting the initiative on their social media channels, calling on family and friends from home and challenging one another to hit goals as a department.

The far and wide engagement from the UNG Athletics Day of Giving has displayed a commitment to the continuation of North Georgia Athletics as an elite Division II program.
