PBC Announces 2024 Men's Soccer Tournament Bracket, UNG Second-Seeded With Bye
DAHLONEGA – As the regular season has come to a close, the Peach Belt Conference has announced the bracket for the 2024 PBC Men's Soccer Tournament. The University of North Georgia (UNG) men's soccer team has earned the second seed and a first-round bye in the tournament.
After finishing 8-5-3 overall with a 6-3-1 mark in league action, the Nighthawks finished second in the conference for just the second time in program history and the first time since 2016.
With the second seed, UNG avoids the quarterfinals and earns an automatic bye into the semifinals of the league championship.
Top-seeded Clayton State also earned a bye into the semifinals. The Lakers will host the semi final and championship matches in the PBC Tournament in Morrow, Ga.
With the bye, the Nighthawks will not take the field until Friday, Nov. 15. UNG will face the winner of third-seeded Flagler and sixth-seeded USC Aiken. The Saints and Pacers will face off on Saturday, Nov. 9 in St. Augustine, Fla. at 7:20 p.m. The Nighthawks were a combined 3-0-1 against Flagler and USC Aiken in the regular season.
