UNG Women's Cross Country Unveils 2025 Schedule
DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's cross country team has unveiled its schedule for the 2025 season.
After an 11th consecutive third place or better finish at the Peach Belt Conference Championship last season, the Nighthawks are ready to make a bid for the top spot in the league once more.
UNG will open the season on Friday, Sep. 5 at the 3rd Annual Young Harris Season Opener which it finished in second place behind Converse at last season.
The biggest day of the regular season comes on Friday, Sep. 12 when the Nighthawks will host their 13th Annual UNG XC Invitational at the UNG Cross Country Course in Gainesville, Ga.
The Nighthawks won their invitational for the eighth time in program history last season.
After their own invite, UNG will head to Milledgeville, Ga. for the GCSU Bobcat Invitational which will serve as a PBC Championship preview on Friday, Sep. 26.
The Georgia Tech XC Invitational will be the first meet in October for the Nighthawks, followed by the final meet of the regular season in Spartanburg, S.C. at the USC Upstate Invitational.
The PBC Championship will take place in Milledgeville at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 as UNG will seek its first victory in the meet since 2017.
The season will then transition into the NCAA Postseason on Saturday, Nov. 8 in Wingate, N.C. as the Nighthawks will partake in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.
UNG will look to cement its second-ever team appearance in the NCAA Championship at this year's Southeast Regional.
