White Named To 2025 PBC All-Conference Second Team
DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia (UNG) men's basketball junior guard AJ White was named to the 2025 Peach Belt Conference All-Conference Second Team as announced by the league office Friday morning.
At 16.1 points per game, White led UNG in scoring in the regular season and ranked No. 11 in the conference. His 483 regular-season points and 53 made three pointers ranked sixth and seventh respectively in the league.
White was also the best free throw shooter in the league this season as his 114 made free throws ranked No. 5 in the league while his 89.8 free throw percentage was a league best. The Memphis, Tenn. native closed the regular season as 14th-ranked free throw shooter in the country.
White's season has been highlighted by a number of career scoring achievements. With 521 points in total this season (postseason included), the third-year Nighthawk has surpassed 1,500 career points. He moved into second place on the NCAA Division II era (2005) scoring record list in UNG men's basketball history as well. White is now just 241 points shy of the D-II scoring record held by former teammate Frank Champion.
White most recently dropped a career-high 38 points against third-seeded Augusta in the sixth-seeded Nighthawks' 77-68 PBC Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinal win on Wednesday. The scoring outburst is tied for the most points scored in a game by a PBC player this season. White holds three of the top-15 scoring performances of the season within the conference, tied for the most of any player in the league this year.
This is White's third PBC All-Conference selection of his career. He was named to the All-Conference Second Team and the Freshman of the Year in 2023 while earning an All-Conference First Team selection last year.
White and UNG are back in action in the 2025 PBC Men's Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 8 against second-seeded USC Aiken in Columbus, Ga. Tip off in the semifinal matchup takes place at 3:30 p.m.
