The Hawks Nest - Episode 5: Bryson Worley
DAHLONEGA -- University of North Georgia (UNG) director of golf and head men's golf coach Bryson Worley joins the Nighthawk Sports Network for the latest edition of The Hawks Nest.
As Worley and the Nighthawks have recently concluded their fall season, the 2023-24 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) National Coach of the Year sat down to discuss his team's run to the National Championship from last season. In the latest interview with UNG Director of Athletic Communications Brendan Schabath, Worley discusses what he recalls from that memorable run as the National Runner-Up last season. He details his team's comebacks in the national tournament and how his program has built a "never say die" attitude. Worley also touches on managing expectations within the program and building a competitive spirit that not only leads to production on the course, but growth and camaraderie off it.
This fall, the No. 2 Nighthawks played in four events against some of the top competition in the country. UNG was immensely impressive in its first showings since the National Championship last May, winning a pair of events and finishing no worse than third place in all of them. As the team closes the book on the fall campaign, fans, players and coaches alike have plenty to be excited about when UNG hits the links again in the spring of 2025.
There's all that and more packed into the latest edition of The Hawks Nest.
