North Georgia Athletics Announces Administrative Staff Promotions
DAHLONEGA – As University of North Georgia Athletics prepares for the return of its student-athletes and the beginning of a new season, Director of Athletics Mary Rob Plunkett has announced a series of title changes and promotions within the administrative team.
The reorganization introduces a more vertical reporting structure, encouraging communication and collaboration across the department's various units of operation with the continued goal of positioning the department in the constantly evolving landscape of college athletics.
On the external side, Morgan May has been elevated from Director of Marketing & Events to the administrative level as the Assistant Athletic Director, Communications & Marketing. May will now provide oversight to the Communications and Creative Services director-level positions.
On the internal side, Adam Daum has accepted additional responsibilities under his new title as the Assistant Athletic Director, Sports Medicine & Performance where he will provide leadership to both the Sports Medicine and Sports Performance units.
Additionally, within the Sports Medicine unit Kathryn Fonseca has been bumped from Assistant to Associate Athletic Trainer.
Daijah Freeman, Assistant Athletic Director, Student Services has added Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) to her title.
On the department's senior leadership team there are a pair of new chief officer titles. Senior Associate Athletic Director, External Operations Lee Glenn has added Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to his title while Derek Suranie, Senior Associate Athletic Director, Internal Operations will take on the responsibility of Chief Operations Officer (COO).
The search for the fourth member of this executive team, the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Business/Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will progress to the interview phase in early August.

- Four Nighthawk Golfers Selected To 2025 PBC Team of Academic DistinctionDAHLONEGA – The Peach Belt Conference announced its men's and women's golf Teams of Academic Distinction for the 2024-25 academic year Wednesday. The University of North Georgia had four honorees between both its men's and women's golf programs named to their respective teams.
