PBC Women's Soccer Tournament Bracket Announced, UNG Earns Second Seed And Will Host Seventh-Seeded GSW
DAHLONEGA – With the conclusion of the 2024 regular season, the Peach Belt Conference has announced the bracket for the 2024 Women's Soccer PBC Tournament. The University of North Georgia (UNG) has earned the second seed after going 10-3-2 overall and 5-2-2 in conference play.
The Nighthawks will host seventh-seeded Georgia Southwestern in the first round of the tournament this Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. from the UNG Soccer Field at Lynn Cottrell Park.
UNG will look to avenge a 1-0 loss to GSW which it suffered back on Oct. 19
After the first round, the highest remaining seed will host the remainder of the tournament for the semifinal and championship matches.
No. 2 Columbus State earned the top seed in the tournament and will face eighth-seeded USC Beaufort on Saturday.
The full bracket seeding is as follows:
#1 Columbus State vs. #8 USC Beaufort
#2 North Georgia vs. #7 Georgia Southwestern
#3 Flagler vs. #6 Lander
#4 Georgia College & State University vs. #5 Clayton State
Should the Nighthawks advance to the semifinals, they will play the winner of third-seeded Flagler and sixth-seeded Lander.
