LIVE: UNG Athletics Kicks Off 3rd Annual Day of Giving
DAHLONEGA - University of North Georgia Athletics has launched its third annual Athletics Day of Giving, a 24-hour fundraising event that calls on alumni, parents and fans of North Georgia Athletics to invest in the resources needed to cement our quest to building the most competitive, value-added NCAA Division II athletic program in the nation. The initiative will continue throughout the day on Tuesday, Dec. 3 and can support athletic scholarships, support units (Sports Performance, Sports Medicine, Strategic Initiatives, etc.) or one of our 13 intercollegiate sports.
Nighthawk 2025 Softball Coaching Staff Announced
DAHLONEGA -- University of North Georgia (UNG) head softball coach Brooke O'Hair has announced her coaching staff for the upcoming 2025 season. O'Hair will be joined in the dugout by Darren Harmon and Alea Medina next season.

Brooke O’Hair Selected to Lead North Georgia Softball Program
DAHLONEGA - Following an extensive national search, University of North Georgia (UNG) Director of Athletics Mary Rob Plunkett has announced Brooke O'Hair as the third head softball coach in program history, signing her to a multi-year contract that reflects the university's continued commitment to building a successful future for the program. O'Hair, who brings an impressive 18-year tenure at Mississippi College (MC), will officially begin her duties on Monday, Sept. 16.
Davenport Resigns as North Georgia Softball Coach
DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia has announced a vacancy in its decorated softball program as long-time head coach Mike Davenport resigned to become an assistant coach on the University of Georgia softball staff.

North Georgia Announces Athletics Hall of Fame Class
DAHLONEGA - University of North Georgia Nighthawk Athletics and the Athletics Hall of Fame Committee are proud to announce the 14th class of the North Georgia Athletics Hall of Fame with the induction ceremony scheduled for Monday, Sept. 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the UNG Convocation Center. The evening will begin with a social hour, followed by a dinner and ceremony programming beginning at 7:00 p.m.
