UNG Posts Five Podium Finishes In Electric City Invitational
ANDERSON, S.C. – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's track & field team shined in the Electric City Invitational over the weekend as five Nighthawk competitors finished on the podium in their respective events.
Senior Ella Stoudenmire earned her third victory of the season with a win in the women's one-mile invite. She raced past the competition and finished with a 5:05.18 time.
Stoudenmire also propped herself up on the podium in the 800-meter race as she crossed the finish line at 2:13.88 to finish in third place among the field.
Sophomore runner Adi Myers had the first podium finish of her career as she was victorious in the open portion of the women's one-mile race. She beat the competition with a final time of 5:18.05 in the event.
Myers finished a few spots ahead of her teammate and another podium finisher in freshman Aubrey Dishman. The Carrollton, Ga. native finished in third in the open event with a 5:23.18 pace.
Freshman Teagan Lamp also impressed in the 5000-meter open race, finishing in third place with a 20:24.52 pace.
The Nighthawks will now look ahead to the Fast Break Athletics Invitational on April 11-12. The event is hosted in Cleveland, Tenn. by Lee University.
