White Named To Bevo Francis Award Top 100 Watch List
DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia (UNG) men's basketball junior guard AJ White has been named to the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List by Small College Basketball the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. The award encompasses players from Division II, Division III, the NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA.
This is White's second consecutive season being named to the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List. So far this year, White leads UNG at 16.3 points per game, 2.9 assists per game, three-pointers made, field goals made and minutes played.
White currently ranks No. 4 in the Peach Belt Conference in total assists (47), total points (260) and free throws made (61) while leading the league in free throw percentage at 91 percent this season.
Small College Basketball will announce the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List on Saturday, Feb. 15.
UNG has now had a player named to the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List or better in three consecutive seasons.
