DAHLONEGA -- University of North Georgia (UNG) women's cross country graduate student Claire Mills has been named as the Chick-fil-a Nighthawk of the Week after making history at the 2024 Peach Belt Conference Cross Country Championships this weekend.
This honor serves as Mills' fourth time in her career being named as the Nighthawk of the Week.
The 2024 PBC Runner of the Year Claire Mills came in 14th place at the PBC Cross Country Championship on Saturday and made history along the way.
With an 18:41.8 time, Mills became the first runner in PBC history to earn five all-conference honors in their career. Her top-15 performance at the UNG Cross Country Course in Gainesville, Ga. solidified the historic mark and cements Mills as one the best runners in PBC history.

Now Mills and her teammates will get ready for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship on Saturday, Nov. 9 in Spartanburg, S.C. UNG ran in Spartanburg just eight days ago and earned a ninth place finish at the USC Upstate Invitational, beating out four Division I teams and earning the highest placement of six Division II teams.
