Inclement Weather Delays Quarterfinal Round Of 2025 PBC Softball Tournament
DAHLONEGA – Inclement weather in the northeast Georgia area has postponed the first round of the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Softball Tournament for the No. 10 University of North Georgia (UNG) softball team.
The top-seeded Nighthawks will now face eighth-seeded USC Beaufort at 11 a.m Saturday, May 3 after Friday's game was pushed back due to poor weather conditions.
UNG is hosting the entirety of the 2025 PBC Tournament, thus another quarterfinal game between fourth-seeded USC Aiken and fifth-seeded Lander has also been delayed. The Pacers and Bearcats are scheduled to square off at 1:30 p.m. at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park.
The tournament will then continue throughout the day seventh-seeded Georgia Southwestern and second-seeded Flagler facing off in the semifinals at 4 p.m.
After that, the winner between the Nighthawks and Sand Sharks will face the winner between USC Aiken and Lander in the last semifinal matchup.
All pre-purchased tickets from Friday will be honored for the entirety of Saturday's games at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.
